But let’s talk about Jamie Brewer.
She’s awesome.
Jamie Brewer made her television debut on American Horror Story. Prior to her transition to acting on camera she was a theatrical actress. She has not left the stage, however, and still continues her training through theater and through improvisation at 'The Groundlings Theatre and School' .
Being an individual with Down Syndrome Jamie has made it a point to be active in the Down Syndrome community. Jamie was the youngest to ever be elected President of the ARC of Fort Bend Chapter. From there, she was appointed to the State of Texas ARC Board, then elected to the Executive Board as Treasurer. Jamie was then asked to serve on the ARC Governmental Affairs Committee for the State of Texas. She spoke with Senators at the Texas State Capitol to persuade them to pass the law for Texas to abolish using the “R” word from state legislation, and regarding the needs of people with disabilities in Texas. Texas now uses “Intellectual Developmental Disability” in their legislation. 1
Brewer is involved with a several non-profit organizations, including DSALA, DSiAM, BTAP, National Down Syndrome Congress, American Association of People with Disabilities of the United States, and Civitan International.

You can't name one thing all men have in common, yet here you are calling all men misogynists.
quote

"Men are afraid of women talking about video games, women are afraid of men killing them"

I had to slightly modify a(n apocryphal?) Margaret Atwood quote in light of today’s sad events:

An email sent to Utah State University officials threatens to terrorize the school with a deadly shooting over a talk to be delivered by feminist critic and Tropes vs. Women in Video Games creator Anita Sarkeesian, Polygon confirmed with the school’s Center for Women and Gender Studies.

What makes this even worse is the terrorist threat references the École Polytechnique Massacre in an aspirational way:

"If you do not cancel her talk, a Montreal Massacre style attack will be carried out against the attendees, as well as students and staff at the nearby Women’s Center," the message reads. "I have at my disposal a semi-automatic rifle, multiple pistols, and a collection of pipe bombs."

But what if this was an isolated ev-Let me stop you right there:

Game developer Brianna Wu, head of development at Boston-based Giant Spacekat, fled her home after receiving a series of specific, violent threats directed at her and her family on Twitter last night. Police confirmed they are actively investigating the threats.

Here’s the most tragic irony about all of this: jumping straight to threats of violence is simply a poor coping skill fostered by the toxic masculinity that feminists like Anita Sarkeesian have been criticizing all along.
